Biography: Robert Bevan moved to London in 1900 and joined a painter’s group founded by Sickert. Gauguin, whom he met earlier in 1894 at Pont-Aven, influenced his work. He married Polish painter, Stanislava de Karlowska in 1897. Bevan is most recognized for his paintings of horses.
