Biography:
His landscape painter father initially trained Bartolomeo Biscaino before he entered Valerio Castello’s workshop in the later 1640’s. Biscaino’s work was typified by broad brushstrokes, deliberate and careful color choice, curving drapery, and pleasant expressions. However, he best known for his etchings and drawings, influenced by Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione.
