Biography:
Although born in Treviso, Paris Bordone spent much of his life in Venice beginning in 1518. He first studied under Titian but left because he disagreed with his instructor’s teaching methods. Bordone preferred to paint religious and female subjects. In addition to working in Venice, he also spent time in France and Augsburg.
