Biography:
German artist, Hans Brosamer worked in Fulda from 1520 to 1545 as a portrait artist and a woodcut and engraving designer. He moved to Erfurt in 1546 and began only designing woodcuts and copper engravings because of financial distress. A member of the German printmaking school the “Little Masters,” Brosamer created small prints that often illustrated religious, mythological, or historical themes.
