Biography:
Also known as Battistello, Giovanni Battista Caracciolo was the principle exponent of Carravaggio's style. He visited Rome in 1614 where he was later influenced by Carracci. He also painted frescoes, notably the ones done at Certosa di San Martino in Naples.
