Biography:
The Carpenter painter lived in Athens and painted vases in the red-figure technique. Although his real identity is unknown, the Carpenter painter’s name comes from his image of a carpenter at work on one of the cups that he painted. His work is distinguished by the way that he drew the physical characteristics of his subjects.
