Influences:
Biography: Irish painter, Francis Danby spent most of his career working in Bristol and London, however he also spent time living in Paris and Switzerland. He began painting in a naturalist style but later adopted a more dramatic style as to confront John Martin. The most famous of these apocalyptic paintings was The Delivery of Israel out of Egypt. Idanby retired to Exmouth in 1847.
