Biography:
Douris was a prolific potter and vase painter in Athens during the early 400’s B.C. He has been credited with creating around three hundred vases, forty that are signed. He primarily painted in the red-figure technique but also experimented in the others. Douris often depicting mythological and everyday life scenes and regularly collaborated with the potter, Python.
