Biography:
Jacques Dubois trained as an ebeniste in his half-brother, Noel Gerard’s workshop. He became a master at the late age of forty-eight, but had a large workshop that created many styles including writing desks, clocks, and pedestals. Dubois produced furniture for Madame Elisabeth, the daughter of Louis XV and the wife of the Duke of Parma.
