Biography: Wilhellm Schubert van Ehrenberg was born in Germany and later specialized in architecture. He produced paintings in which he created Renaissance palaces and churches that were reminiscent of theatre set designs. He joined the Guild of Saint Luke in Antwerp in 1662 and lived there for most of his later life. Most of his painting were completed in the 1660’s and were often collaborations. He also produced a series of drawings that chronicled his trip to Italy.
