Biography:
The Foundry Painter worked in Athens during the early 5th century B.C and painted in the red-figure technique. His real name is unknown but he is identified by the bronze foundry that was depicted on one of his vases. He trained in the workshop of the Brygos Painter and also collaborated with Onesimos at one point. The Foundry Painter specialized in cups and emphasizing realistic figures.
