Biography:
Sir Terry Frost was one of the leading members of the St. Ives painters. He began painting in 1943 while he was in prisoner of war camp. Upon his release, he studied under Coldstream and Pasmore at the Camberwell School of Art. For a time thereafter, he painted in the Euston Road School style before turning to abstraction. He is also a respected art teacher, working at many schools including Reading University.
