Jan Fyt was born in Antwerp where he spent most of his career as a painter and etcher. He studied under Snyders and traveled to Paris and Italy. His style is characteristic of his teacher’s. He often painted hunting themes, but also did an occasional flower painting. He had a successful career and often worked with other artists.
