Biography:
Robert Gibbings founded the Society of Wood Engravers in 1919 and also ran the Cockerell Press from 1924 to 1933. The press employed other engravers such as Eric Gill and Eric Ravillious. Gibbings books focused on topographical drawings, personal stories, and observations of nature.
