Biography: Erasmus Grasser was a German sculptor who worked mainly in Munich. He was a leading sculptor of the Gothic style and ran a prolific studio. His most famous works are a set of wood figures of dancers, made for the Munich town halls ballroom. Grasser also worked as an architect and a hydraulic engineer.
