Biography:
David Hockney was born in Bradford, Yorkshire. He trained at the Royal College of Art alongside fellow students and British Pop Art pioneers, Allen Jones, Derek Boshier, and R.B. Kitaj. Although his early work reflects the interests of the movement, Hockney believes his work to contain more figurative elements. Hockney settled in Los Angeles in 1976 after traveling throughout Europe. He also has worked in theatre, creating set and costume designs. His most recent works are photo collages.
