Biography: Wolfgang Howzer first served as an apprentice to his father in Zurich before moving to London in the 1660’s. He received a commission from the king to practice as a gold and silversmith at a time when opportunities to practice the craft were scarce. His work was expensive and was signed with a WH above a cherub.
