Biography:
The Hunt Painter worked in the black-figure technique in Sparta. He painted primarily cups and some larger vessels and was also a potter. He focused on mythological scenes in the “porthole composition” style. Although his real identity is unknown, he is recognized by his paintings of a boar hunt.
