Biography:
Jan van Huysum learned to paint from his father. He lived and worked in Amsterdam his entire life and preferred to paint flower pictures. He also painted a few landscapes and mythological scenes and creating many preliminary and finished drawings. Van Huysum insisted on working from life and close study of his subjects.
