Biography:
Eric Kennington began his career as a war artist during the First and Second World Wars. He is mostly remembered for his paintings and drawings of military life from this period. Between the two wars, he worked as a portraitist and book illustrator. An example of his work in the latter was the illustrations he did for T.E. Lawrence’s Seven Pillars of Wisdom. Kennington also produced numerous memorial sculptures.
