Biography:
Paul Manship worked mostly out of New York where he established a successful career as a public sculptor. One of his most famous works is located in Rockefeller Center Plaza, titled the Prometheus, and made out of gilded bronze. For a time, Manship was considered a leader of modern American sculpture, but by 1940 was primarily thought of as an academic artist.
