Biography:
Niklaus Manuel Deutsh was the son of an Italian immigrant to Switzerland, Emanuel Alleman. He probably was self taught and created his first paint Saint Eligius in His Workshop in 1515. He specialized in large colorful religious and classical works. Manuel Deutsch served as a French mercenary soldier in Lombardy from 1516 to 1522.
