Biography: Anton Maria Maragliano was born in Genoa to a poor family. He first worked with furniture maker Pietro Andrea Torre and then began working separately for the Genoese cofraternities. Maragliano created wood sculptures, crucifixes, figures of saints, and narrative scenes from the Bible.
