Biography:
Sebastiano Mazzoni was born in Florence but worked mainly in Venice where he moved in 1646. He painted in an Italian Baroque style and often chose unconventional subject matter. He was influential on the later Venetian paintings and is thought to have taught Sebastiano Ricci.
