Biography:
French painter, Jean Metzinger began painting in Neo-Impressionist and Fauvist styles. Later, he became a leading exponent of Cubism and a figurehead of the Section d’Or group. Despite his artistic endeavors, he is mostly remembered as a writer. He co-authored Du Cubisme with Gleizes in 1912, which was the first book to be published on Cubism.
