Biography:
Morazzone began his art career with encouragement of his mason father, who took him to Rome in 1592 to paint frescoes in several churches. While there, he may have also worked for a Mannerist painter and studied in one of the academies. He returned to Lombardy in 1598 and became a leading painter in the area. Morazzone mostly painted altarpieces and frescoes for religious groups that were realistic and dramatic
