Biography:
After growing up in Switzerland, Meret Opeenheim traveled in Paris an enrolled at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere. After meeting Giacometti, Arp, and Man Ray, she became absorbed in Surrealism, first contributing her sculptures to their exhibitions in 1933.
