Biography:
Alphonse-Louis Poitevin was a chemical engineer who began photographing the landscape and his factory co-workers in Montmorot, France. He used the photomechanical processes of carbon printing and photolithography. In the 1850’s, he began printing the work of other photographers such as Nadar
