Biography: Adriaen van Utrecht worked as an apprentice before traveling to France, Italy, and Germany. While in Italy, he absorbed Baroque influences and Italianate lighting. He specialized in still lifes, normally of edible subjects. Van Utrecht also collaborated with other artists, finishing the sill life portions of their paintings.
