Biography:
Initially a painting student, Garry Winogrand became fascinated with photography after a fellow student introduced him to the medium. In 1960, Winogrand began focusing on artistic aspects of photography, publishing four books of photography. He used a small 35mm camera and left over 2,500 undeveloped rolls of film at his death in 1984.
