Project Diversity: SPArC Art!
Tabla Rasa Gallery, Brooklyn, USA United States of America
Tabla Rasa Gallery is pleased to welcome the artists of Project Diversity to their new space in SPARC (Sunset Park ARtists' Community). In this, their inaugural exhibition, diversity is reflected not only in the age, ethnicity and neighborhood of origin of the artists, but also in the diverse originality of the artwork itself. All of the Brooklyn-based artists in this show were selected from 600 submissions in this highly competitive boro wide contest. Project Diversity was conceived by Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation cofounder/executive VP Danny Simmons, also an accomplished artist and Brooklyn gallery owner, and creator of the award-winning Def Poetry Jam. - Read Indepth Article at http://www.absolutearts.com

Susan Philipsz: Stay with Me
Malmo Konsthall, Malmo, SE Sweden
In her first solo exhibition in the Nordic countries, the Scottish artist Susan Philipsz makes use of every cubic centimetre of space in Malmö Konsthall. Philipsz works primarily with sound, film and space, and the starting point of her works is the interface and tension between subjective and collective memories of popular music, political songs and film experiences. Susan Philipsz often bases her works on the architecture and history of the exhibition space. For Malmö Konsthall she is creating a new work specifically for Klas Anshelm's 30-year-old building, and will be making the art gallery visible in a way we have never before experienced. - Read Indepth Article at http://www.absolutearts.com
